Social Network Media On a High Tide in Indian Internet Market

44% of Indian Internet Traffic is directed towards social network sites like orkut and Facebook.

A recent survey conducted by a reputed agency proves that 44% of the internet traffic in India is lead from Orkut and Facebook, the popular social network sites. This shows that the popularity of the social medias has touched the Indian territories too. A part of the study also revealed that almost three quarters of the marketers surveyed are about to increase their social media spending in the coming couple of years.

These reports directly point towards the drastic shift in the internet usage trend of the people. Earlier people were more into website surfing and for interaction, they used Ims, but today after the growth of the social network sites that caters to both the information and interaction needs of the users, there is hardly any use to visit any other website.

While the survey was being conducted it was found that people were so addicted to these social networking sites that apart from haiving a personal profile in these sites, they were also planning to create their professional profiles in these social network sites. They also confirmed that along with checking their mails regularly, these people were also quite regular in checking their profiles in these social network places.

This proves that India is no less in progress on the internet. Not only has the internet traffic from India risen, also people here have become more aware of the internet activities and are making optimum use of all internet based features example social networking.
